Healthy Lifestyle Changes Begun

ENTRY THREE

Monday Weekly Weigh-In - 235 Lbs
Monday Weekly Waist Size - 39 inches


So I have been mostly on track, but have not updated here in a month. Life and Summer happen, thus I got distracted. I have had a couple of slips, but all in all, I continue to slowly change my old habits making new healthy habits.
The goal to walk up the escalator at the Granville Skytrain Station was met a few weeks ago, and I was not out of breath and wanting to throw up. My body is thanking me in a lot of different ways, one most notably is the energy level I have is astounding. I now am at 35Ibs Lost with 6" off my waist. My cloths are all fitting better.

ENTRY TWO

Monday Weekly Weigh-In - 250 Lbs

So it has been a week of hard work, but this weeks' results are positive. More importantly, I am watching everything I put into my body, listening to what it says to me and reacting accordingly. Although it does take almost 5 times the amount of time to shop for food (reading every label and choosing other items), I have taken the time to enjoy the preparation of food, and enjoying the new tastes. I am still on track, continue to focus on the goal and in the process am making some new long-term goals for 2011!

I am finally going to pursue my dream of going abroad and volunteering my time to help those in need. It is time to focus on more than my 'world' and perhaps make some type of massive difference. I am thinking that Costa Rica is a good place to focus on. I have friends there, so it will not be such a huge transition, and will not feel so scary. I am hoping I can have some friends join me in this goal, but if not, it is something I will accomplish. Well until next week, everyone, have a good one.

ENTRY ONE

Monday Weekly Weigh-In - 270 Lbs

So today is the day for change! Nine (9) years ago, I quit smoking, but replaced that habit with other bad habits...eating emotionally, making excuses not to exercise, and using alcohol to deal with other issues. Don't get me wrong, I am not a alcoholic by any means, but if I continue there is a chance this could be substance abuse. So with that, I will offer MYSELF no more excuses & no longer accept my inaction. I realize now that my health needs to come first! I am not loosing weight or changing my life for anyone but me.

So with that, today is the day. I make the following promise to myself. No more alcohol or other substances that are no good for my body, mind and soul. No more eating emotionally. Daily recording (via SparkPeople) of everything I eat. Start to move and do some form of exercise on a daily basis. Get proper sleep, going to bed at a normal hour.

This hopefully will inspire others, as I will be doing weekly and/or daily entries...the good, the bad, the ugly. I will share my success's and my challenges. I will put as much energy and commitment to this and myself as I do other things.
